Hi, I have a 2011 f-150 ecoboost 4x4. I am having trouble engaging the 4x4 and I have searched up and down with no luck of finding someone that has had a similar problem so am hoping someone on here can help. So here's my problem,
-Every time I go to engage 4x4 I get the "check 4x4" screen on my dash and it does not engage immediately.
-It does not matter if I am at a dead stop, rolling slowly, or on the go.
-I have hooked up a computer and there are no codes.
-If I flip the switch back and forth between 4x4 and 2wd (sometimes 5 times sometimes 50 times) the 4wd will engage with a loud POP
-Sometimes if I put the switch in 4x4 and just wait or move slowly it will also engage without constantly flipping the switch.
-No matter what, when it does engage there is always a loud pop

I think that it important to note that it has never left me stranded without 4x4 but it is annoying trying to engage it for 10 minutes. Please let me know if anyone else has ever had this problem or has insight on how to fix it.
