Mine did it when it was new, but seems like it's gone away now. 16k miles on it now..

The EB and 5.0 both share the same electric power steering don't they? I hope this doesn't become an issue. One of the primary reasons for me trading in my Dakota was this same issue. On that truck the problem was the lower intermediate steering shaft. I am subscribing to this thread to see if there are many more complaints.

Before anyone asks, I have been driving for a long time so know how a wheel should feel in a car. I have the 2011 super crew XLT with XTR, 3.31 and 4x4.

Anyone else experienced anything that sounds like this?
I've noticed the steering felt really odd when I went to pass a few vehicles on the weekend. Like I had to fight to get the tires to straighten out after I turned into the passing lane. I'll have to test a bit more to confirm

Yep...mine does it as well. The power steering on this truck is for **** and at times downright scary.

Mine does it as well, but only during a 'high stress' movement - like going slightly over the suggested limit on an on ramp. It just doesn't pull back as hard, it's like the EPAS can't quite figure out what you're really trying to do. It goes where I point it, so I'm fine with it.

I am going on a very long trip today that will certainly exercise this. I will try to take a movie of it. Basically for me it turns left and then instead of returning to center as every wheel does, it sticks there. It seems to come unstuck after a moment, but it then comes back to center quite quickly. Not ideal. If I manage to get a video I will post it and put the link up for everyone here to see if it is the same as their issue.

Always the left. Ford will have to fix this, it could be dangerous if you loan your truck to someone and they get surprised by it.

Other than the problems with the steering, how do people like how the EPAS steering in the truck and the way it handles?
