2011 Ecoboost Steering Sticking
Just got back from a long windy road drive, and found that my steering is sticking when turning left. I find a good turn to the left, the wheel does not come back to center like you would naturally expect it to. Turning to the right is fine, and slow speed seems less of an issue, mostly because you have to turn manually back since it won't go back to center if the tires have resistance.
Before anyone asks, I have been driving for a long time so know how a wheel should feel in a car. I have the 2011 super crew XLT with XTR, 3.31 and 4x4.
Anyone else experienced anything that sounds like this?

I may have had a similar issue..
I've noticed it twice when driving.. i was driving on a road about 60 km/h, and the road veered to the left.. it seemed a bit more difficult to straighten out, as if it was "stuck" in place.
but as soon as i think/notice something it "unsticks" itself and i'm able to turn however i want. Not too sure if its the same issue as you..
Wasn't too sure if I was imagining it or if it actually was sticking..

This is pretty much the same as what I had. You have to move it back to center or it will continue, whereas normally you can pretty much stop turning and it will naturally come back to center. I am going to have to take it in.

I won't be able to take it in until next week, but it seems like a safety concern to me. Glad other people have noticed it too. Might be something with the electric steering. I just hit 1000km on my odometer, so it can't be wearing out.

Generally this is indicative of a ball joint (or joints) on it's way out, but I'm not too well versed on these newer steering systems...

I too have had this happen nearly every time I drive it on the Interstate. I was doing nearly 80 mph and had this happen - it was rather unsettling. Glad to know other people are experiencing this .
My wife has an Ecoboost Flex with EPS and I haven't had an issue with that in her car.
Next time I take it to the dealer I will ask about it too.
