No way man, it is way cheaper to sell the EcoBoost tires. That is what I did, and put winters on.
I do worry about the 5.4 rims/tires I'll be running in the spring.

Seriously though, I wouldn't be going back to that service department. Their logic escapes me.
It really does sound like a simple case of over-inflation. Perhaps someone's tire pressure meter is inaccurate?
It could be beneficial if the TPMS system could detect over-inflation, IF it could be calibrated for either P or LT tires.

Sorry to disappoint you 11_FX4, but I experienced the same thing with the 6.2L.

I started noticing it around 7-8k miles, but didn't worry about it much because I was looking for an excuse to put new wheels and tires on my truck and I knew it was my fault. I do drive aggressively and typically launch pretty hard. I've never done a burnout or anything like that, but experience wheel spin on launch (especially when turning). I didn't even bother rotating them and now have 14K and they are shot.

I also had pretty severe shoulder wear on the fronts that started about the same time. Again, I should have rotated them, but really didn't care because I'm going to replace them.

When I took it in for my 15K the dealership said that if it was before 12k they would have replaced them, but since it was over they called Goodyear. Goodyear offered to cover 70% on rear and 50% fronts to replace them. They will also apply the net amount of the credit (approx $410) to any Goodyear product if I want to upgrade. I'm not sure I going to bother with it because I really can't find a Goodyear tire that I care for, and by the time you pay for mounting, balancing, and FE alignment it's really not that big a discount.

That said, i might be worth fighting with the dealer...

First look at the wheels and tires... I went with the 295/65 18 Dura Trac's on Fuel Octane 18x9 +20 os wheels. Unfortunately they sent the wrong lug nuts with my wheels, so I can't get my center caps on . Ended up getting $450 off the tires from the dealer.

I put approximately 4500 miles on my truck in the first 6 weeks from traveling up and down the west coast with the wife and did plenty of burn outs and even some drag racing at a local air strip (had owners permission) and the tires look fine with the exception of a little feathering after a few fun burn outs . But still no odd center wearing. Was all even across
