2011 ecoboost 27 mpg hwy proof
This is proof of the mileage I get. I got a high of 28 MPG until I hit traffic then it dropped to 27. Once I hit hills in Maryland 25MPG and then down to 24 MPG from stops and towns.
Scenario: 70F, 2011 F150 EB SuperCrew, Max Tow, 3.73 rear, Firestone Destinations at 35 psi, 4 people + luggage adds 500+ lbs. I drove right at 60 most of the way. In Maryland it changes to 65 for a while before the Bay Bridge. I get 27-28 MPG on flat roads @ 60 MPH. If I drive 70 MPH it drops to around 21 MPG.
You can see all the data from the pics over my 120 mile trip.

I think this is near the end of the trip after several stops and towns.
For the haters and doubters I have checked 10+ times at the pump comparing what the computer tells me vs how many gallons my tank accepted. Every time the numbers were within 1/10th of a gallon. That is likely due to differences in the "click" when the pump senses a full tank.
Not sure why I get this mileage with the 3.73 either. I do run Pennzoil Full Synthetic and change every 7500. And I run this thing HARD... These 71K miles are tough miles.

I don't see this being out of the realm of possibilities, at least for a short while on a long road trip with near perfect conditions as you seemed to have such as cooler temps, flat roads, little wind and a constant lower speed.
I myself just took a trip to my hunt camp last weekend, I filled the truck up on they way because fuel is cheaper about an hour north of where I live, re-set the fuel mileage and hit the highway. Like you I had cooler temps, mostly flat roads and kept it to 100km/h. I got 10.1 L/100km (23.26 mpg) out of my 4wd 5.0 with 3.55 gears, pretty much all the way to the hunt camp road. The way home I had some wind, I increased my avg speed by about 10 km/h and the truck returned to its normal 12L/100km (19mpg) which is usually what I see.
Drive them nicely and in good outside conditions, keep the stock stance and tire size and they will return decent mileage for what they are.

I've found temps don't change things too much. I've had all 4 of us, 80lb dog in cab, bed loaded with 500 lbs, cargo carrier on hitch with another 300 lbs, 90F+ outside and drove 300 miles to the beach at 70 MPH and still got 21 MPG.
What really affects my mileage is the gas.
93 octane runs immensely better in my truck. 89 very good. 87 it feels like something is being held back.
Summer gas runs much better also. I see 1.5 MPG city better and can reach 28 MPG.
If I run winter fuels and 87 octane I get like 15-16 city max and 22 MPG hwy max.
I now run 93 octane all the time - huge difference in feel and MPG.
Your 5.0 seems to get excellent mileage also. Thats incredible for a heavy truck and a V8!!

I'm still getting adjusted to the average fuel mileage in my 2014 E.B. Limited. I can only say to WOLBEM11 is, You had been keep the 2011 F150. I'm surprised you haven't come out with this fuel mileage news before now. There are always going to be Na Sayers but if that MPG is correct, that's all that matters. Ford Motor Company may be interested in hearing from you.
