Default 2011 bed hooks?

I have a 2011 XLT and there are no square holes in the bed rails to install cargo tie down hooks. I have some tie down hooks inside the bed but would prefer having some on the rail. Do the 2011s have the square holes under the plastic rail cap? Thanks

I just picked up a 2010 FX4 last week and noticed the same thing. I saw one new gen F150 with square cutouts at the front and rear cutouts about 5" from the ends.

I'd pop off the plastic but it's too damn cold out so I figured I'd wait until it warms up.

when I spoke to the ecoboost test drive guy. I pointed out the missing square holes for bullrings. he said they are gone for 2011.

Are they "gone gone" or are there just no pre-cut squares that you can remove? I seem to recall that some 2010 guys had to cut the rail covers to get the holes for the bull-rings and some just had them there.

You should be able to tell looking from inside the bed if the rectangular channel is there.. I would be shocked if they got rid of those holes in the bed top, they are probably just hidden under the cap with no pre-cut openings.

my gut feeling is they are still there just under the plastic caps. I agree that you should be able to see if they are there by looking up from inside the truckbed.

Do you have the 5.5 bed? that is your reason. They are under there, but Ford didnt put access points to them on that bed size. The 6.5 foot beds have the access points for them. Another good reason to get the bigger bed

dont ever believe anything a salesman says, you would think they should know everything about the vehicles they are selling but such is not the case. Most of them are complete idiots and will say anything to sell you a vehicle. do your own research always.

I'd pull up the bedrail caps and take a look-see. It would take a major redesign of the bed to get rid of those. If they are still there, then it shouldn't be too much trouble cutting some holes out with a Dremel tool on the caps.
