2011 adding backup camera?
Since you ran the wire for the BCM it should be possible. However, smunczen and his dealer have been trying to reflash his truck and I don't think they have been successful yet. I believe that he said he is going back soon for them to try again. Hopefully he can let us know if he gets it working.
I finally got everything installed, actually took me longer to do the LED mod than this.
I called Tasca and someone there said I had the main harness and headliner harness that I needed to do this so I haven't touched those at all.
I installed the rear light harness that came with my ebay purchase and connected the tailgate harness to the camera and the rear light harness cluster.
I got everything installed again and have the new mirror in the truck BUT when I turn on the truck and put it in reverse I see a blue screen appear and then it disappears. Everything is OEM and just not sure what is going on now or what I need to do. Also I noticed that on my new mirror when I plugged in the headliner harness into it I lost the compass on my display.
No mine works just as it should but no zoom, or turning off the guide lines. Sounds like you are not getting a video signal. I had the mirror in without the correct harnesses and got the same thing you are getting now. I think you do not have the right harnesses.
I agree, the blue screen means your not getting the video signal. Several people have told me that Tasca told them the same thing they told you but later discovered that they were missing one or both of those harnesses.

Mine don't have them.
How can I go about knowing what to get if Tasca thinks they are correct? I have a feeling I am going to need to buy the same cables as smuzcan.

Yes the two far right (passenger side) pins are the video wires. So you will need a new headliner harness. You might need the same harness as smuzcan but for them to be exactly the same both trucks would have to have the exact same options. Could be that you need to buy new ones, I don't know if this the case but someone suggested that maybe replacement harnesses have wiring for all options and factory ones don't. I think I'd try explaining the situation to Tasca first and see what they say.

Seems that most people who need the headliner harness also need the main body harness. The easiest place to check is were the taillight harness plugs into the body harness behind the spare tire. Your looking for a white/green and a brown/violet wire. Another check is at the same plug, if you only have 6-7 wires on the main harness side you probably don't have the correct harness.
I was able to get under my truck tonight and noticed that I only have 7 wires on the connection from the taillight harness to the main body harness, so I would assume that I will need to call them tomorrow and have them send out a main body harness as well.
I would rather have those two harnesses be installed together since I am fairly certain once I install the headliner harness it still won't work.
Okay I called Tasca back today and whoever I talked to today said that whoever I talked to last week gave me the wrong information and that I do need a new headliner harness for sure.
