Got it. A lot of people don't know about the site and availability of the codes and cameras. Just trying to share. I am trying to install my camera myself and hopefully it eventually will al work out.

Nav unit I replaced the main harness, tail light harness, and added bezel camera. Had the ACM flashed and reprogrammed by the dealer camera works, but is not clear and I have double guide lines. Some on here have suggested that the pins for the pos and neg on camera cable could be reversed??? I am struggling through it right now and have my friend, a Ford tech, trying to help in between all his other side jobs.

I purchased the tailgate camera online a few months back. Through research I came to this. The cameras plug has 6 pins. 2 blacks 1 red 1 blue 1 white and 1 green I think. 1 black and 1 blue don't work. I think they might be shields whatever that means lol. Red is power, black is ground white and green is video + and video -. My oem nav doesn't turn black when put in reverse, so I have to trigger it. The trigger is in the kick panel driver side. Gotta tap into the trigger and run to the hu reverse wire. I don't know which one that is, so I'm gonna tap into all of them. Lol

I did not switch out the stereo harness, but I did switch out the main power harness that runs the length of the truck to have the extra wires that would run to the rear so I would not need to run new ones.

If you go to brandmotion.com and find the camera installation instructions it has the ACM audio control module as built data. The dealer needs to reflash the ACM and input the as built data which will make your system think it came with a camera. My dealer did it for $95.00. Hope this helps if not let me know and if I can help I will.

If it is just a camera and a mirror it is very very easy!

Default F150 XLT Crewcab Backup Camera Installation

I have a new 2012 F150 XLT cc, I want to install a backup camera, how do I know if the harness is already there or not?

Also, is there any whay to tell if the existing rearview mirror includes a rear LCD display?

How many different harnesses do I need and is there anyway to tell if they are already installed.

I do not haved factory navigation installed, there is a a trailer brake assembly only.

I was going to have the dealer install the rear parking sensors - does this help or not?

Any assistance on where to get this information and where to get the parts would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
