I had the TSB done when it was still colder out. . Cleared the shudder up, the hard shifts into 2nd and 3rd, and no waste gate fluddering. Have almost 3000kms since the TSB. It's has been unseasonably warm here lately. High 70's instead of low 40's. Hard shifts are coming back and the shudder as well. Dealer told me the TSB is the "cure" for the issue, and he can't do anything else for me.

I got 23.5 mpg at 70 mph on the interstate and then 22.5 on the lane state road at 55-60. More hills and small towns on that part of the trip. So my issue sure seems to be temperature related. I think that intercooler part/design could be the problem. I had bought my truck at the end of August 2011. It ran great until mid Oct when it started to get colder. Ran like crap all winter and now runs great again.
Your situation sounds just like mine. Got mine end of August and ran great through Oct. Mine is running a little better now that it's warmed up some but the mpgs haven't returned yet. Being on the flats of Kansas, my shudder issue isn't as much of a problem as you folks in hillier places. Only about a 1/2 dozen places around that will even cause it but I had it happen a couple weeks ago driving 55 into about a 30mph headwind. I suppose that creates the same load as a slight grade would [??].

Default Finally experienced the "fall on its face" problem

Those that have complained of passing cars etc. and having the EB just fall flat on its face nearly causing accidents etc.?

Well, it didn't nearly cause an accident today but after driving quite a ways 45-55mph in 100% humidity [been raining all day] I got on the by-pass and was just casually accelerating when Parnelli Jones himself apparently in a CX something Mazda was right on my rear bumper. So, I thought I just show him what the EB can do and didn't even go clear to the floor but the truck just fell on its face - I mean nothing for 2-3 seconds, I thought it died.

Then, probably in 5th or so 30-35mph, downshifted maybe all the way to 1st perhaps second, engine came to life, broiled the pi$$ out of the rear tires, grabbed another gear leaving fairly long scratch and I walked off and left him.

I pictured our Houston friend's condensation problem in the intercooler probably happening driving for quite a ways at lower rpm and then stomping on it dumping a bunch of water into the engine.

Though frankly the guy behind me probably didn't know about the cut out only that I slowed down before all the tire broiling and walking off and leaving him, this wasn't exactly what I had in mind and I can't imagine how scary this would have been in the passing lane on US 50 trying to get around a semi?

Geez . . .

Yesterday I asked my salesman to figure up a 2012 5.0 just like my Ecobust and let me know how he wanted to trade. All of a sudden there was "another reflash that just came out" and he wants me to try it. I don't think a reflash is going to fix the water collecting in the intercooler or whatever else is going on with these things. What I cannot understand is how the problems are so spread out and not present on all of the trucks. Anyway, I'm going back in for another "flash".

Did the dealer give you a quote on the 5.0 equivalent yet?

Anyone know the tsb# for this new flash, first I've heard of another new one?

My guess is they will reflash with the last one.

I don't think there is a "new" tsb, I think they will just flash it again. Supposedly one other guy was complaining about fuel mileage and they flashed his 3 times and then he all of a sudden was getting 18mpg instead 13mpg. I told them it was just due to the warmer weather we've had the last week or two it's been in or around 70 degrees. My mpg has gotten better too, the 55-60 shudder is all but gone so I can't complain about that really. My deal now is the low speed from a stop and the towing shudder. I pulled the skid loader with it a week ago and it shook bad. My truck was made after the 11-9-17 tsb so I guess they can't help me with that either but I'll see today.

As far as the 5.0 equivalent, I have almost 10k on my EB which stickered for 45,415 and the 2012 5.0 would be 45,330 and they asked $3800. I know you have to start somewhere but that is not going to happen with me. Eb option in 2011 was 750 and 2012 it's 995. There is the 36gal fuel tank, E-locker rear end and the darker wood trim that I would have liked on my 2011, but I'm just not ready to do that yet. I even thought about rolling the dice and ordering another Ecoboost in hopes of getting a good one but I not that much of a gambler. There are a lot these trucks in my area and for the most part people are very happy with them.

^I had to go to dealership yesterday to make appt. for wife's 2008 fusion and the salesman who sold me my 2011 XLT Screw said they had a 2012 of same options on lot and wants me to trade in mine...just bought mine Dec. 30 and only have 1590mi on it. If I get all the rebates plus I get the x-plan it should bring it down to around 33500...I owe 35k on mine and would be hard pressed not to do it!

Agree it would be hard not to trade for an equivalent truck for less money and 0 miles.

I just got back from dealer and there was NO new program so they didn't flash my truck again. It's raining again today so they took truck for a drive and replicated the "merging full throttle, fall on its' face trick". I think it has been mentioned on here before, but there is a TSB for water/moisture in the intercooler but Ford of course doesn't have a fix for it yet.
