Tomorrow is a good day.
I will be meeting with the service managers and the field engineer. We will be driving around and discussing the truck.
The weather here has been amazing the last few days. 80's and humidity in the 50-60% range, this is supposed the continue tomorrow, we'll see if it has an effect on things.
Additionally, I will be printing, consolidating and making a final list of the trucks in the database thread to personally hand to the engineer.
If you havent added your truck in there please do so by tonight.

Just took my truck in this morning for the 12-2-10 reflash and had shims put in the rear for the shudder pulling a load. No change whatsoever from beforehand. I was told by the manager the tech said the vibration/shudder was gone, but I bet they didn't even drive it after they installed them! To top it off they told me they won't do anything else to the rear until I remove the air bags I installed to at least make pulling my 7000 lb camper bearable because the POS wasn't able to handle what is supposedly designed for! I will be calling Customer Service and voicing my opinion tomorrow! I either want this fixed asap or my Excursion I owned outright back! By the way, the V10 in that truck with the same 3.73 gears got the same average mileage of 13.8 - 14.1 that my POS Ecoboost gets! Very unhappy with Ford at this point. If I get no satisfaction soon it will be my last and I've been driving nothing but for 25 years!

Lemon law. Use it. It's what it's there for. They can't fix it then they need to replace it, buy it back or compensate you monetarily for the issue. Simple as that. Don't let the dealership, Ford engineers or anyone else fool you in to thinking it's normal. IT'S NOT. Keep taking the truck back. Again and again. Don't settle for their B.S. **** em.
The worst thing you can do it wait. Don't. Take that truck in ASAP. And keep taking it in. If it's not on record it doesn't count.

I have owned over a dozen new vehicles and never had to Lemon Law one. Unfortunately I think I am going to have to do it with my 2012 FX4. I just hate the thought of having to go through the process of Lemon Lawing a vehicle to get what I paid for. Back in January I thought this issue was gaining some traction and may actually get resolved. Unfortunately it looks like it is an isolated issue that Ford is not willing to invest the time or money to fix. Folks either have to put up with it, or Lemon Law the truck. I love my truck, its the nicest vehicle I have ever owned. Unfortunately for 46k truck, I find it unacceptable to have it bucking and hesitating every single day when I drive home on the highway. This is just the tranny issue, not to mention the fact that I average 13.5 MPG. I never owned a vehicle that didn't at least average the city MPG rating.
I posted this in the 2011+ Engine, EB Mileage forum, but those with fuel mileage issues might find this interesting:
I have a 34 mile commute each way. My EB shows an average 18.5 since I picked it up from the dealer 3500 miles ago. I reset Trip A when I started up this morning with temp of 35 degrees. I have to go through a small town and up a long grade before settling in at a speed of 50-55 with cruise control. The early readings showed about 10mpg and at 10 miles into the trip, about 14mpg. By the time I got into the town where I work, the average mpg read 20.5, then a long 2.5 mile grade to pull to my work place where I was down to 19.5mpg for the entire commute. Obviously, if I were only doing a 10 mile commute, my fuel economy would be down to where some are complaining about, but looking really good at 30 miles or so. My 2002 Subaru averages about 24 for the same trip, so I feel good about my EB.
Ford850 posted this response to me:
I saw a Ford article recently about their new coolant systems they are developing. They will shorten the engine coolant and tranny oil cycling loop to warm the engine much faster and improve MPGs earlier on a drive. Obviously they already know there is a problem with short trips and poor MPGs.

I'm not making excuses for Ford but it may not be as simple as just fixing the problem.
First they have to find out EXACTLY what the issue is. Then find the parts that are causing the issue.
Next they have to discuss with that part/s manufacturer to see who is going to cover the warranty costs. ( this could be a major time consumer)
They also will have to test the replacement part/s to make sure it won't happen again.
All this takes time.
I don't imagine in ANY way that this is a quick fix even if, in the end, it's only a $5 part that takes 5 min to replace.
We just need to have a little patience.
Ford is on top right now, and if they let this slide it would really lower their position so I don't think they'll let that happen.
