2011+ 55-60mph 5.0 Shuddering and EcoBoost Engine Miss/Loss of Power - Possible Fixes
Good news, fellow Kansan! Going in Friday for mine. Sadly we may find that they are just resetting the learn mode back to zero which is back when my truck ran great, idled great, got great mileage, and no surge problems. So 6 months from now, we'll be in the same boat. But, we'll see.
No idea on the one for the 5.0 because I have the 3.5 engine. The service adviser thought I had the 5.0 when I got there this morning. So far mileage is still the same. Feels like there might be more power. Shifts about the same.
Did you see anything about this new transmission mount on there? Dealer is picking mine up today and want to give him all relevant info...in the process of typing up my concerns right now. Thanks.
Anyone find it odd that the manual has NO part numbers for spark plugs for our trucks? There's also a nice little blurb stating "Replace the spark plugs with ones that meet Ford material and design specifications for your vehicle, such as Motorcraft or equvalent replacement parts. The customer warranty may be voice for any damage to the engine if such spark plugs are not used."
I'd be weary of those who are saying they want to try a different set of plugs for this misfire issue... I also find it interesting that the other 3.5L EB engine had TSB 10-17-10 for spark plug issues that were causing "rough running, hesitation, and shuddering" due to cracking insulators.
