The guys with 5.0's could have the same TC problem but they can only feel the issue and not hear it much since they don't have the turbos or wastegates magnifying things.
I really think some of the "shuddering" isues that Ford and dealers are lumping into the moisture issue are when a truck severely shudders and goes into limp mode when accelerated hard. That issue makes more sense to me regarding moisture causing serious misfires.
That makes sense to me. At least if we get the 5.0's inboard too, it will increase our numbers.

This brings up a good point. Does anybody have a dyno or has a buddy that has a dyno that could try a replicate the problem on the dyno. That might be a interesting thing to see.

Mine is worse also, went from a consistent 17-18mpg's, now I average 12.5mpg's. And it will go back and forth from bad to good.

It sounds like there may be more going on here than just the shudder thing. My truck shudders all the time in the top 3 gears while going up a slight hill @ 14-1900 rpm. But, my mileage is not any different, except for the winter blend difference, so it sounds like some of ya have other issues going on also.
If I can just get my shudder fixed I'd be a happy man!

I just spoke with my dealer and before I could tell him why I was calling he excitedly anounced that the flash is available and they just received the acknowlegement this morning.
He said it takes about an hour and bring it on in.
I hope this works. I only have one of these trucks, the dealers are stuck with a bunch of them and have been just as eager to hear from Ford as we have.
