Default 2011 v6 shuddering on acceleration, misfires, plugs coils

I have had this issue twice. At ~70,000 and ~108,000 miles with heavy acceleration at higher speeds, shudders and shakes badly then check engine blinks and stays on. both times ford dealer said spark plugs are fried along with coils and/or it is mis-firing. Both time all plugs and coils replaced, $$$. they blame poor gasoline quality produced - ethanol. I am seeing if a BG fuel system/induction clean out by the dealer will help prevent this in the future and add BG products to tank as needed.

1/16" hole drilled into your intercooler will help with the shuddering. Along with properly gapped spark plugs (.030)

I had the same problem with mine at about 55K miles. Had the plugs and coils replaced. Rather than drill the hole, I had them drain the intercooler. They also added a shield to the intercooler as recommended in a tech bulletin to presumably raise the temp enough to prevent the moisture accumulation. I live in a relatively humid environment. I also fortunately/unfortunately don't live to far from where I work, so I don't really get a chance to crank it up very often. The recommendation was that periodically I should drive it like I stole it. It's been about 15K miles and all continues to be well.

Default everyone file a complaint--ford should own this problem and fix it properly

from ford rep: I would also suggest reporting the issue to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Ford Motor Company and the NHTSA work together to proactively identify areas of concern through investigation of consumer and dealer feedback. During an investigation, Ford cooperates fully with NHTSA. If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigation, and if it finds that a safety defect exists in a group of vehicles, it may order a recall and remedy campaign. You can contact them here: http://www.nhtsa.gov/Contact or by calling 1-888-327-4236.

This reply you received from the rep is a waste of time. This issue has been going on for years. The fixes being provided are from other users who got useless answers from the factory. Unless I'm mistaken, Dearborn still has not acknowledged there is a problem with 3.5 EB engine. Does anyone have information to the contrary?

they can pull a code and should be able to tell you exactly what cylinder the issue is on and change/fix just that 1 coil and plug. They are just making money off of you. I know this to be fact because I had the same issue with my 2014.
