Do you notice any noise out of the small pinhole? No high pitched whistle or something.
I'm thinking it would be too small to notice but you never know...

My dealer flashed to the newest programming and also cleared mode 6 and it still does it. I am still working with them on the issue but feel as if i am just being told to deal with it. Has anyone else had success changing the plugs? I am quickly running out of options. Any help would be great!
Seems I remember someone in earlier post saying dealer changed plugs and found one or two with improper gap and cured. Mine started missing a little at wot when it reached 82k miles. I only took them out and re gapped but that cured the miss. Seems like a good idea to replace plugs without a lot of time or expense involved and have that question out of the way. Most posts I have read the dealers didn't check plugs????

iknfixit:

Here's my problem (aside from my truck running like complete crap at $550 a month).

I have been to 2 different dealerships. Once even after the Ford reps here on our forum helped set up the second diagnosis.

I tried and tried to explain to them that on our forum, we have seen the shutter problem fixed by replacing the plugs with ones that are gapped properly. Both dealerships refuse to even check the plugs because the CEL isn't on, even after the Brighton dealership master tech said he definitely noticed a problem. They call Ford. They say leave it alone.

Crystal, if you think you can convince them to pull the plugs than we might be on to something. I would try a third time, but until then...

Im sick of this. I have never been more pissed off at any corporation - and I am/was a FORD lifer. But not after this.

They don't really think they give a flying flip about looking at fixing the problem.

I could go in screaming "PULL THE DAMN PLUGS AND CHECK EACH ONE" and they would tell me that they would have to charge me for that.

Sorry gang.

Ford warranty = f you customer

Sorry to hear your frustration. Been there. My dealer pulled mine and changed them out. My issue was a TSB for a 6th gear misfires/hesitation. This is not just a Ford issue its a Detroit issue. The whole town is bankrupt and the big three are cutting costs and it starts with there warranty work. Dealers don't and cant provide the old school way of service. FORD dictates and authorizes all work or dealer doesn't get paid....PERIOD.

That is too funny. Heck you should drive your truck to Ford offices and park your truck in Bill Ford's parking space with a note that says my truck is broke and you refuse to fix it so you keep it!!! Ask him to buy it back..
