I had my mods completed last week, I've noted that the upshifting and downshifting points have changed. Transmission used to shift into 6th gear at 70 kms/hr, now shifts into 6th at 80 kms/hr. Prior to the mods, on an incline the tranny used to stay in 6th and the vehicle would seem to lug and shudder, it now downshifts into 5th and pulls much better.

My power was back after the new IC but after driving for 1.5 weeks now, that power is gone again. Seems I have to give it half throttle to get it to move decent at all, and sounds like its still bleeding off boost all the time.

I don't know its really hard to describe...the truck just doesn't have the same power or drive the same as when I first got it. And its not just getting "used" to the truck and power...towing light trailers(less than 3000 lbs) now it will downshift all the way to 4th sometimes up hills. Before all of this and these "fixes" I could tow a 24' flatbed with gear weighing 7-8,000 lbs and sometimes the truck would hold 6th, maybe downshift to 5th a couple times. Towing tests were done on the same route, same weather, etc.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to do the plugs this weekend, had some stuff come up with work. I'm gonna try and do them tonight but we are in the middle of a snow storm so I have to plow and stuff as well. I may just end up having the dealer take it again Wednesday, I did already buy the plugs and everything though, just no time. And I need my truck for an ice fishing trip on FGriday morning, so going to have to make sure the dealer can get it back to me by then.

That is exactly what I had said after they "repaired" mine...

2012 EB Going in tomorrow for the misfire on the highway when under load in 6th. I don't notice a difference with the weather really, I've had it happen in the Winter, Summer, Spring Fall...it doesn't matter. This is the first time I will be bringing it in for this problem. Hope they find something and this isn't an ongoing problem.

I will note one thing. The new ECM strategies are more willing to downshift compared to the factory stategies. It's weird you lost power after some drive cycles. It almost sounds like the truck is cutting timing way back.

Mods consisted of the new IC and software as per Ford's tsb.

That is very unfortunate. The thing I loved the most about the EB was how it very rarely ever had to downshift.

Let's hope it takes a while for the transmission controller to relearn and the shift patterns will go back close to what they were before the tsb.

Exactly HunterSmitty..Isn't that the whole point of all the torque? not having to downshift to get your POW!
