Had the new CAC installed Thursday. Most of my issues were related to the misfire/shudder under load, had it fall on its face twice. Ford also applied the two previous fixes to my truck last Spring/Summer.

Originally it was the shudder/miss at 55-60 mph going up a hill. Then started doing it under slow acceleration. After the two attempted fixes, it changed it to a shudder/miss at 35-50 mph up hills, and worsened to include a nasty misfire under all kinds of acceleration. At WOT it would jerk the whole truck bad. I had constant sounds of air getting bled off and the truck seemed to have lost power.

I only have 150 miles on my new CAC and have much more testing to do, but it appears to have fixed all of this. Truck feels back to original power, it runs strong again. I really think one of the previous fixes detuned the truck until a permanent fix came out, cause it seems to have all sorts of power now. As of right now I am super happy with the repairs.

Hopefully it stays this way.

I was a few weeks ago and threw it in the trash. I've had issues (tranny, CAC...), but they have seemed to fix all of them. Damn ambulance chasers if you ask me.

Default Law suit

All of us who own trucks are hard working individuals, so lets stop bitching and do something....join this law suit, only 20 people have so far.

Owners of 2011-2012 F150s can contact Hagens Berman to discuss this case by calling (206)-623-7292. You can also speak with an attorney by emailing FordF150@hbsslaw.com or by submitting information in the contact form on the right-hand side of this page.

I'm not in it for the money. I want Ford to acknowledge in court and release a REAL resolution to a problem that has been present for over 2 years.

Of those who are saying Ford isn't doing anything to help you, have you gone through the latest TSB or are you in line to have it done? Have you checked and/or regapped your spark plugs to .30 - .32?
Thanks.

I'm thinking the real resolution will be a complete re-design of the CAC and piping.

I've had every TSB done on my 2011 and now my 2012. It's great that they put on a band aid that falls off in 5-8k miles and goes right back to being a shuddering p.o.s. truck.

I work 80 freaking hours a week. Ford can gap my plugs if that's what it takes to "fix" it. Or, rather, if that's all it took don't you think they would be doing that now? Takes a half an hour for a tech to re-gap the plugs, if that. What will you suggest next? Throwing more of my own money and time at a vehicle that the manufacturer is responsible for repairing?
