Today driving into work, there was a huge accident, so traffic slowed down to 30-40mph on the hwy. The shutter is still extremely present, and may actually be worse than at the higher speeds for me. This was up a very long hill, and i could feel it pulsating the entire time.

After that we're on our way to getting this fixed.

I did take mine in today because Ford wanted pictures of the chrome tip on the tailpipe. The manager agreed to replace the tip but he also asked if a mechanic could take the truck out with a laptop and get instant mpg readings. By their computer my truck was getting 17.1 hiway and rising. It also continued to climb on my way home. I don't know if they did anything or not but it's nice if it keeps going up. I could still get it to shudder but it wasn't as harsh.
Surprisingly, my dealership put on the work order that they were able to duplicate the problem! I was more than a little shocked. Then I thought about it. Who gets blamed when the truck cannot be fixed? The first in the line of fire (s**t rolls downhill) is the dealer. Most people blame the person closest to the sale/repair. Those are the people they talk to.

I think any dealer that doesn't doc this as something that is legitimately reproducible stands to lose a lot of business. Word gets around. And while the slick advertising is nice, it's the guys & gals who drive these trucks that sells them.

I don't want to do the legal beagle thing. None of us do. What we want is for an American company that we are supporting with our hard earned money to do the right thing and fix the problem. If they don't they stand to lose much more than a sale or two. Long term loyalty is golden. And you can bet that Toyota and Nissan as well as the other two government sponsored auto manufacturers will not stand around waiting. In fact I see Toyota really stepping up to the plate by improving their frame and updating the interior.

Ford, are you listening? Are you reading?

I have a 2012 SC F150 Ecoboost with 3.55. Built 12/11. Purchased 12/29/11. To date, it has 1900 miles on it. I too have been experiencing these issues (55-60 mph 6th gear shudder). I'm no expert so I'll refrain from conjecture. This morning my check engine light came on. I immediately called my dealer and took it in after lunch. In a nutshell, the tech said that it was developing too much boost in one of the turbos. This caused the cat to overheat and the waste gate(s) to open prematurely. He had a few ideas but wasn't confident as to a solution. He contacted Ford and is waiting for a reply. I'll report back when I hear something...

I also contacted Ford on my shuttering issue. A customer service manager called me back the very next day w my claim number and to go over the symptoms with me. She said she hadn't heard of this issue before and that she would look into it and report back to me within two days. That day is today so I'm expecting a call. Ill post up any info that she tells me

What ticks me off more than the actual issue is how both the dealership and Ford claim they haven't heard of this issue and can't replicate it when driving it. I wish they could be at least a little more mature about it and be honest and just say that they're aware of the problem and are working on a fix instead of making me seem like I'm making things up.

My girlfriend who knows absolutely nothing about vehicles noticed it the first (and only) time she drove it. She told me that she thought my truck was running out of gas while she was on the highway. Now u can't tell me a girl can notice it instantly while a trained tech can't?
