2011+ 55-60mph 5.0 Shuddering and EcoBoost Engine Miss/Loss of Power - Possible Fixes
well after a full weekend of driving including highway, county back roads, and stop & go traffic, thus far I have to say re gapping the plugs has mad an improvement.
every now and then I still think I feel a small pop or miss, but overall it has gotten better. now lets see if it stays better

Theres a guy over in the intercooler condensation thread that said his service manager says there will be a tsb coming out in November for shift points and shudder...
Also he is running around with a new intercooler Ford is trying out on a few trucks supposedly...

It's the hard up-shifts from 1st to 6th and the harsh down-shifts from 6th to 1st, coupled with the rough idle and all the shuddering inbetween that makes my truck miserable. Nothin a .50BMG and a six pack of beer can't take care of.
I kid I kid.

I replaced my plugs this week and they were way more black and sooted up than yours. I think it's because of the DI!
I didn't notice any difference in either the shudder or mileage, but I got some real nice plugs in there now.

Thanks for the information. I just purchased the truck 2 weeks ago, (F150 EB 2012 4x4 SC) and I hope Ford makes it right. I had the same issue yesterday going up a hill, wet conditions. Truck started to vibrate like crazy, and since it was in cruise control, it took a while to recover (almost died)...

Ford making it right is showing loyal customer base that we are important by:
1) Stop selling F150 EB's throughout the U.S. & the world.
2) Make it a first priority for responsible engineers to develop acceptable solution as soon as possible.
3) Test and ensure solution works.
4) Recall all EB's presently on the road, and implement solution.
