If you've never seen the movie Class Action, it would be a good view for some insight in to how the math for this goes. Yes, its Hollywood, but it is pretty damn close to how it works in the real world.
They will have a lawsuit when someone dies from this, almost happened to a couple people on here. How many other times has this happened that we have not heard about? After this happens the new name will be ecobust!

Plausible deniability. Of course they know an accident is bound to happen sooner or later. That's why "a fix will be released soon".

Plausible deniability is all they need in court.

What we need is for someone to capture these problems on video in some sort of professional manner and put it on YouTube. People with the problem could have someone video themselves in a brief interview describing the problem(s), concerns and frustration with Ford and send video clip the person making the primary video where the person would include the self interviews at the end of the primary video. Once video is posted everyone use Facebook and email, Google searches, etc. to get the video noticed. Send emails to local news channels, etc. informing them of the safety problem as well as a link to the video, NHTSA, etc.

IMO this is the only way the problem is going to draw enough public attention to get Ford to address the issue in a satisfactory way. All it would take is a little time to put together. Sitting around waiting for a fix indefinitely isn't going to magically fix our $40K trucks. If it doesn't work we would feel better knowing we at least tried.

For those that have the "loss of all power" file a safety concern with NHTSA:

i was just going to ask if anyone has spoken to the NHTSA, if they get enough complaints they will force Ford to do a recall for '11 and '12 model years

I just entered a complaint and according to their database "FORD F150 2011" is not in their database. Meaning there have not been any other complaints about that make/model/year. Which I find soooooo hard to believe.

Something smells rotten in Denmark.

I never thought to file with the nhtsa. I will do that today. What happened to me on the Indiana turnpike scared the crap out of me.

I was finally assigned a Ford case as a result of ranting on FaceBook. Got a call from the assigned service rep this AM. She basically reiterated whats already been mentioned in previous post that Ford is planning to release another flash by end of June. She said it will have changes to turbo programming...and they don't want to release anything premature and be 100% confident it will resolve the existing issues. Because it sounded similar to the 12-2-10 flash I confirmed it is not that flash. She said a new flash yet to be released. I guess we will find out later than sooner.

I wonder how a new flash is going to resolve the IC condensation issues? I hope they're addressing that issue as well...needs to get fixed before someone gets killed.
