PCM has been updated. Nothing was mentioned about IC condensation. We will see how it goes for me...mileage wise and shudder wise. I told the Service Writer that if they mess up my mpg, I am not going to a very happy guy with him. Again, we shall see.

I think I'm going to advertise my truck on Craigslist for about $5K more than I paid for it since it has a special shudder feature and loses all power occasionally. This is the only truck I've had with these special features so I'm pricing them accordingly.

They basically buy the truck back from you, minus mileage, slap a new power train in it and resell it. And the lemon DOES NOT show up on a car fax. Ford loses very little.
Yeah but, if they lose customers because of lemons, the customers might never buy another Ford plus those customers will tell their lemon tale to other people and stop them from buying a Ford too.
Also one thing you said I don't understand is how can they put a new power train in a used truck without changing the VIN or resetting the mileage to zero? I mean the engine numbers won't match if they put a 2012 engine in a 2011 truck. What do they sell them as? new or used?

I wonder if the Ford Taurus is having these same problems? It also has the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost.

It does cost them.

Our Volvo is about done and I love the "idea of Ecoboost" so I would absolutely consider the new Escape, and Edge, or even the Explorer Ecoboost equipped.

Rest assured, if they don't get my truck fixed, that will NOT happen. If I've got five problems, three PITA inconveniences, two serious - one just flat dangerous, why should I reward Ford with more business or recommend them to ANYONE I know?

Because some of you are not having the problems?

Default I have directly blocked two Ford Sales

I have a few friends that have been waiting for my truck to be fixed by Ford before purchasing theirs.
After hearing my stories and reading this thread, they purchased from different automakers.
Sorry Ford, I have alot of truck-driving friends in my industry and none of them are chancing the F-150 after hearing my stories of the runnarounds your giving me.
Transmission issues
Shudders
Engine falling on its' face during a pass
Oh and we can't forget the lack of a garage door openner in the FX trim packages...

New customers are born every day. Don't think for a second that Chevy, Ram, Toyota and Nissan aren't without their issues as well. I went to a Ford from a Nissan Titan because of issues. So, lose one here, gain a customer there. It's a round robin. And I know people with Titan's that have over 200k miles on them with no issues. So....

Plus it's hard to judge the scale of the issue with the shuddering. Just how many vehicles are affected out of the entire production. I can tell you that not every EB F150 is having these issues. So it comes down to a business decision on their part as to absorb the cost to address the issue, pay the cost for some lemons and lose some customers or push people off as much as they can until they can release a redesign in a coming year.

We want our trucks fixed, they're looking at cost to value ratios to determine our trucks fate.

Wish I would have waited for the third year of the new tranny coming out, by then they should have both the eco and the new tranny figured out.

2012 is the third year for the 6R80 transmission. It was used in the Expedition first in 2009. 2010 saw it in the F150.

My brothers 2009 F150 XLT has the 6 speed. Didn't all the new style 09 on have 6 speeds?
