2011+ 55-60mph 5.0 Shuddering and EcoBoost Engine Miss/Loss of Power - Possible Fixes

Man, if that's true about the no codes than Ford should be real worried because that would be a violation of federal standards for emmisions! That is crazy and they are definitely hiding something!
Strangely enough...my 2011 SC FX4 Eco has been absolutely rock solid with zero issues. But I can't say I'm not worried about it!

Regapped my plugs today down to .30. Most were around .40. As I was doing it I noticed one bolt holding what may or may not be a MAF sensor after the throttle body on top of the "intake manifold" that is only secured by one bolt. Every other vehicle I seen had 2 bolts holding that sensor in. Is that normal for this engine? It appears as if there could be 2 different positions you could put that sensor.

I pulled one wire, started it up. No code. Shut it off and pulled a second wire. No code. Said eff it and drove around the block a few times. No codes. Turned it off. Started it back up. No codes. My neighbor with a SnapOn EEMS300 scanner couldn't detect a misfire. Seems a bit odd the ECU wasn't throwing any codes with 2 coil wires unplugged. He's a master Audi tech and was stumped/laughing at the same time.
But, hey, what do I know.

BTW, saying your friend is "an Audi Master Mechanic" who couldn't find the problem and just laughed at it, impresses no one and only serves to disclose insecurities. Your truck's diagnostics systems work properly when used by competent personnel only.

Haulin Bass!
This is standard behavior across all OBD-II equipped vehicles. The MIL ( check engine light ) will not always light up during all tests/checks until certain conditions have been met, usually 1 or 2 drive cycles.

It's not that he couldn't find the problem. We created the problem. The truck failed to acknowledge that a problem existed. Don't put words in my mouth or try to distort what I said.
