I think there was a secret memo originally on the issue, prior to the first TSB being released in Feb 2012. I don't think the dealers got the memo, but the Ford Techline definitely had something from corporate. All the dealership kept saying to me after the misfires were recorded was, "Ford has advised us not to replace any parts at this time". Obviously the tech wasn't a robot and told me it was probably due to a fix coming out, but thats the reply they heard from the Techline.

Also, the quote in that article about the "secret" memo is just the description from the TSB, lol.

I think the issue is some people will be outside the warranty soon so they need to have a recall instead of a TSB.

So does anyone think this is going anywhere as far as a real solution or fix from Ford to deal with this issue once and for all so they can move on to better improvements to the Eco engine or will Ford drag this out. Seems to me that very soon the whole dam country is gonna be dealing with warm humid climates and moisture, if these so called fixes to the 11/12 and some 13's arent the final fix then dont you think this is gonna get ugly for Ford and there prized engine?

My whole issue with this big mess. I dont have any issues with my intercooler...has threads like these helped me look for everything possibly wrong with shuddering/stuttering/spitting/sputtering....Yes.
Going forward. What if i'm taking a family vacation and drove across the US. I have never had the issue, probably cause of my drive cycles (mostly intown) and my foot always has a pair of workboots on. But if i get the right temps and conditions for it to arise and throw a cel. They will do the tsb. But right now as it sits they will not perform any tsb's because i have no symptems. knowing there is condensation issues with these early intercoolers, under the right circumstance. Ford should recall all these intercoolers....period

f150 man i agree with you. I am ok if ford does a recall and replaces my CAC with one of the high performance IC's from Full Race. The only way for Ford to end this issue is to issue a recall, if a lawsuit is on the table its gonna force there hand, being this is the same lawyer who bled toyota dry i am sure he's set his sites on Ford's bank account. You know if companies do the right and ethical thing and value there customers these types of situations can be avoided. Cmon FORD! Your loyal truck owners are waiting.

I think it was only a matter of time for this to happen, and glad the process is under way. This should end in a recall too. Like others who have posted, Ford's failed attempts to fix the issue are a sign that this is not limited to a small number of trucks. I believe that every EB F150 has the potential to experience this prob under the right conditions, even if there are those who have not experienced the problem. Anything less than a recall represents unnecessary risk for EB owners. Will be watching this closely, especially since my '13 is due in next week. I'm banking on an eventual fix, which is why willing to take a chance. Will be tough for Ford to ignore a case that may soon have national attention.
