Going to call the case worker and let them know it's back and worse in the wet weather....last visit to the dealer and they said no misfires
There goes the whole theory that this shudder is caused by moisture collecting in the intercoolers. I was hoping that was the reason and that your 5.0 shudder was an anomaly and already corrected. So there's either a common problem causing shudder for each engine or there are separate issues causing similar symptoms. I wish Ford would make some progress and get a solution to any of these shuddering concerns. I'm sitting on the sidelines waiting for Ford to fix these problems before I buy a new truck, and I don't think it should be like a lottery hoping that I get a good one. The longer this goes on and the more problems all get lumped under the "they know there's a problem and they are working on it" excuse, the more it looks like they are clueless to the causes.

Well, less than 24 hours after my call to customer service I got a return call from a rep. Unfortunately I was not able to take the call. I did return her call this morning though.

I will preface this by saying and wholeheartedly admitting im an a-hole. Not saying that I am off the bat, but this issue has me quite frustrated, and its been hard to keep my head.

The customer care representative I talked with this morning was one of the nicest and most responsive people I have EVER dealt with in customer service. She was super polite, very respectful and understanding of my concerns. Since out brief conversation she has called my dealer twice and has been online with the Tech. Hotline folks as well. She has very thoroughly documented all my concerns, the information from the tech, working on my truck and Ford engineering. She has been very caring in making sure I have an adequate loaner vehicle and that I have been taken care of by the dealer.

While she was not able to give me information that I wanted to hear, like a fix was coming or in the works, she at least made my experience as pleasurable as possible.

Im sorry to the folks that have had less than satisfactory results with your caseworker. Mine has been awesome. She has assured me she will be calling me frequently had keeping me advised of the situation.

I was quite vocal to her about this not being an isolated issue. I also mentioned several times this issue has been well documented on the internet on several forums. While Ford will never "log in" and answer or respond to issues here or other forums I am very confident that they are reading and seeing what we have to say.

So, lets be as open and honest as we can about this issue. I love everything about my truck except this vibration. This is the 3rd new Ford I have purchased and the only I have had major issues with.

Come on Ford nerds, lets get this fixed!

I have 2011 Screw EB with the shudder problem also at 50-60mph in 6th gear going up a hill. I have been hitting the - gear down button on the shift lever when this shudder/miss is happening and immediately the shudder/miss is gone naturally the transmission shifts to 5th gear & the rpm's go up some but the shudder is gone the rest of the way up the hill. Has anyone else noticed this? I wonder if the tranny should be re-programmed to shift down sooner when I do this you just barely can feel the tranny shift down I was using cruise control every time so far.

Now you know my frustration, fixed once and was fine, came back then into the shop to only return from the dealer as "Nothing Found" and ran fine for a while, and now it's back.

Has anyone looked into the torque converter? Run a little test next time it happens. Keep steady throttle as it's shuddering and just lightly tap the brake to unlock the converter. See if the shudder stops.

If my converter unlocks, the shuddering/whatever stops.
