Yesterday I hooked up to a 2800# travel trailer. 1800 RPM and 55mph it misses or vibrates pretty good. Seems to be in a slight lug on a hill when it happens. Don't know what gear it is in. 2012 3.7 AT 126" Dearborn Built.

I will repost the intent of this thread from the first page so that others may be able to follow directions.

The intention of this thread is to collect specific vehicle information related to the shudder/vibration experienced on 2011 and 2012 Ford F-150 trucks in 6th gear at approx. 55 MPH. Once I feel sufficient data has been collected I will then forward this information to Ford in hopes of it providing a clear picture of the exact scope of this problem and, in turn, giving them some direction on a correction.

Again, to be clear, there are several threads that outline this issue. The purpose of this is to acquire the information of the trucks it affects. To do so I will provide a template for each to post their information. If you have additional information, please post it in the other threads related to this topic.

This is for the 6th gear 55 MPH vibration/shudder most commonly felt accelerating uphill ONLY!!!!

The following template should be used:

Model Year
Engine
Wheelbase (see below for configurations)
4x4 or 4x2
Trim Package
Assembly Plant
Build Date

Wheelbase configurations:

Regular Cab/6.5' bed: 126"

SuperCrew/5.5' bed:
Extended Cab/6.5' bed: ALL 3 are 145"
Regular Cab/8' bed:

SuperCrew/6.5' bed: 157"

Extended Cab/8' bed: 163"

Just bought it yesterday. It was not raining on test drive but after completing paper work experienced the 50-65mph shudder all the way home in the rain. The shudder was not as pronounced today in the sun but still very noticeable I tried to return the truck today with 88miles on it and they said it was mine once I signed the electronic pad. I think Ford really needs to rethink this. After driving a similar one today it is a night and day difference in the ride. I am jealous of those that have a good running and riding truck. Too Bad I thought I was a converted Chevy Guy but it may be first and last F150. Service is scheduled for tomorrow. They would not even give me a loaner so now I have to drive another 90min round trip tomorrow and maybe again it they cant fix it tomorrow. I am going to call Ford Customer Service tomorrow to see if they can exchange the truck tomorrow. I am sure that is a long shot but it doesn't hurt to ask while they are looking at my truck. Hoping for a flat spot in the tire but as my luck is going lately, I have no hope of a simple solution.

Luckily mine was fixed with 3 new tires. Dealership had a road force balancer so after 8 hours and 3 test drives later shudder is gone.

Mine doesn't seem nearly as bad as many in this thread are describing. I just get a slight vibration in the peddle at cruising speeds around 1500-1900 RPM's in 6th. I have 3.73's if that seems to matter too.
