I had a 2011 Platinum that I traded in 2014 for an Expedition. Just returned the expedition lease and while I wait for the 2018 Expedition (new body style) orders to be placed I purchased this 2010 since I needed a pickup as well.

Can you guys help me understand, is this pretty much an XLT with FX4 "looks"? It wouldn't have any upgraded suspension would it.

That's an FX4. '09-'14 trucks had an FX4 model which is pretty much equivalent to a Lariat if it has the luxury package. You just can't get cooled seats in an FX4.

I know on the '09 and '10 FX4 trucks you could not get cooled seats. Maybe they added it on the '11+ models!

The FX4 is the offroad package, but I don't think there is any difference in the suspension. For 2010, they came standard with 5.4 & 3.73 (LS?) rear, as well as the color matched bumpers,etc. Not sure if it's standard, but most all of them I have seen had the flow through center console also.

Tuned shocks and skid plates. That's basically it for suspension. Color matched bumpers and I haven't seen one without a flow thru console.
It should say fx4 after the f150 on the fender badge.
I've owned 3 and and they've all had flow thru console's. Not going to say there weren't any with a different interior.
18" and 20" rims were both optional.
2005 leather no heat...that sucked! Flow thru.
2010 leather with heat. Much better... Mine didn't have cooled seats. Forget if it was an option. 5.4 with 6 speed 3:73's. 20" rims.
2014 leather. Heat & cooled seats... No going backwards now. Flow thru.

Be on the lookout for the STX with an FX4 sticker also.
