Default 2010 XLT 4x4scab

Well I ordered me a 2010 XLT 4x4 scab ingot silver. I had a 97 chevy S10 and was looking into buying something new, i almost had my mind set on a Tacoma but then i looked into full size trucks and it was only $2k more to go full size. So i went and test drove an 09 f150 and fell in love this will be my first NEW truck ever. I ordered it the first week of july and still have no "for sure" date of arrival, i keep getting told by my dealer "in ABOUT two weeks" but im in a small town with a small dealership so i guess ford is in no hurry for a tiny dealership. I figured if im already paying $30k for a truck i might as well get everything i want so got all the options I wanted 5.4L, pwr rear window, tow pkg, rear camera, sync, remote start, convienence pkg, limited 3.55, sirius, skid plates. So hopefully soon i will be part of the club, will post pics if it ever gets here.

Thanks. I sold my S10 about a month ago to my cousin, it was actually in really good condition so i was bummed when i heard it has already been impounded lol. So i have not had a vehicle for a month thats why im getting impatient for my new truck...Talked to the dealer today and he said they should get an update on thursday from ford, I think the dealer is being very lazy they wait to hear something instead of taking the initiative to call and find out, but what can ya do.

That crazy that after this long the dealer has no info for you, I ordered my Lariet on Aug. 19th and it is being built this week,(actually I think yesterday according to ford) I got a VIN # from the dealer yesterday and they say 2 weeks to deliver from the build date. Once the truck is in production the dealer gets the VIN # sent to him so it can be tracked. You can get a build status anytime if you call your dealer and get 3 things,
Body style code
Sales code
Order #
Then call 1 800 392-3673 give them that info and tell them your checking the build status

Having owned a whole bunch of trucks, I like the 09-10 F150 best of all. They really are nice trucks. The -10 has electric fans, which should help with MPG a bit.

My 09 4x4 SC gets 18-20 with me driving easy and 14-15 with the wife (she is on/off the gas a lot). PDG if you ask me! And, a whole heck of a lot better MPG than my last truck.

Well last i was told on Sept 19th it was going to start getting built and it would be here by this week or next week. Talked to dealer today and they just got a vin number today (Friday) so therefore it just got started being built and it will now be another 2 or 3 weeks. It just seems rediculous that it could take so long from july to october just for it to start getting built i must have been put on the bottom of the list or something because my dealer is a really small dealer, who knows im getting it for $500 over invoice so its a good deal in the end i guess.

Also i have one question for those who purchased the Ford ESP. I was told it will be $2345 for the premium care at 7 years 100,000 miles with $0 deductible, what do ya'll think about that price? Seems high to me but i've never bought a new vehicle or a vehicle warranty...

thanks guys i found my same warranty on there for $1955 about $400 cheaper so i will take that print out into the dealer and say ill just buy it here if u cant match it. I could save $500 if i went with $100 deductible but i figure in 7 years my truck will prolly need work more than 5 times so it pays for its self i guess.
