Default Anyone with CAI..... take a look at this for me

Amazon Amazon

Would some of you more experienced guys take a look at this CAI for me. I found it on Amazon. I know its cheap, and you probably get what you pay for. I'm not looking for the latest and greatest, and not looking for GREAT preformance gains either. Just wanting something that will be better than stock, without breaking the bank or MY TRUCK.

Thanks.

i was actually checking in the discount auto parts store... they sell those 3" hoses or larger hoses for cheap $10-20 and also the filters, k&n and so on for like $40-$50.... im wondering, why instead to modify or buy an expensive kit of $300, just buy a hose, filter and use an adapter to connect there? i know you will have to protect the filter to keep it separated from the engine to be able to handle cold air with a large plastic plate or something like that... im going to need to take a look to those kits closer.

I think the idea is "better than stock", as you put it. Not sure if that (or ANY CAI system for that matter) really qualifies.

Let's face it, CAI systems do little if anything to increase performance without accompanying exhaust and fuel delivery mods.

I'd say that one is as good as any of them, and yes....the price is affordable.

Looks decent...although it don't look like it forms a sealed box from the engine compartment...I wonder how good of quality the filter itself is.
