The only wire that was there was the 4 for the mirror direction, turn signal, and puddle lamp (and ground), no heat. The original mirror only had mirror direction, nothing else. Which brings me back to my original question. outside of tracing each wire in the climate control, which is what it sounds like I'm doing, can anyone give me any quick info ("Blue w/purple wire located 3" behind console on left). I assume I'm doing to same and wiring all this manually, but would like to use as much factory as possible, knowing there maybe nothing factory that even the pin is missing (same as mirror) that will make that impossible. But again, not sure where to start, if it's worth me getting this updated climate control or wiring a separate switch like the power fold provided.

Post pics of your truck side harness. You are officially the first person I've ever heard of with a truck not pre wired for heat. And I worked at Ford for 6 years, took apart hundreds of these trucks. All were pre wired for heat

If I was mistaken, I'll be ecstatic, but as I did my initial multi-tester on the harness, top row was yellow/Brown was blinker, purple was Puddle, bottom row the black/yellow was ground, and 4 adjoined was mirror direction.

Hope that helps. Maybe Purple is heat, but didn't make sense to have power to it when I don't have the climate control for it. I couldn't close the door when I had this apart to see if power went away, but figured that was puddle.

Have had a busted up drivers side mirror from being hit by someone and i busted up my passenger side when parking. Perfect excuse to get heated mirrors now. Im hoping I can get the climate control with the heated mirror button and all will work without issues. 2014 STX.

so the mirrors heat up but the button does not lite up?

Does anyone know if the mirrors are 100% manual in a 2014 with no heat, no position, no turn signals, if the wiring harness would be in there? Thanks

My 2014 STX had nothing but powered glass. I swapped in the ebay fully powered everything and so far everything has worked for 2 years. I have no idea if the heated glass works as I never put in the hvac controller with it. Never had signals or puddle lights and they work.

I just swapped in some takeoff Ford mirrors with signals and heat to my 2014 STX. Also added Ruxifey sequential turn signals from Amazon to both front and back of the mirrors and they work great. Waiting for delivery of an ebay HVAC control to activate mirror heat.

If by powered glass you mean you could adjust the mirror from your door, that’s not quite the same. The wiring harness would have to be in place for that. I don’t even have that, I have the 100% manual mirrors. So I was hoping to find out if the harness might be there without tearing everything apart to look. It’s good to know though that if it is there the rest of the stuff should work.
