See neia ford150 post from 31 Oct. This worked-around, worked for me - jumper 80 to 79 with an old-style 5 amp fuse (legs bent 90 degrees). Cheers.

I have the exact problem on my 2010 Ford Fusion, blown #10 fuse and all, but nobody on that forum has gotten as far as you guys have.
(I also have 2003 Ford F150, but not problems there.)
So, trying to equate this to the Fusion, what is fuse #80 on your trucks? I need to find that fuse on the car. Make sense? Thanks!

I have tried the above mentioned procedures. Fuse #10 was blown so I replaced it. Checked the Sync fuse, #13 and it was good. Performed what was mentioned above, disconnecting the battery. That did not help either. Still no lights. Also checked fuse #80 under the hood, which says steering wheel control illumination and it appears to be ok too.

I am at a loss. Any other things to try or look at? I also pulled the bulb on the shifter and it doesn't appear to be burnt out. All other dash lights seem to be light as normal.

Thanks in advance for your help. This forum has been great for finding what ever I have needed
dis you ever find the problem to this, I have the identical issue with my 2010

I am also having trouble with my radio not cutting off when I open door of truck but lights still come on. Also dash illumination is working but button illumination is not. When I checked the fuses and checked the delay accesory relay nothing was wrong with them. Could it be something wrong with the fuse box?

I too am having this problem with my newly acquired 2010 Lariat. Has anyone had any luck solving this problem? Also my tach doesn't light up. Is that an easy fix?

Should I be looking for a bad relay or some other component? Thanks.
Did you ever find the problem???

Did the fuse actually work?? Is it because the blades are bigger?????

Fuse 79 doesn't have a fuse in it and I took a slightly larger fuse 5 amp older style and twisted the posts 90 degrees and it plugs in and every thing works! Kind of a gerry rig, but works.
do you have a picture or a drawing exactly what you did there not sure I follow you as the bending knees in a 90° I don't know if you've been a mover if you're bending sideways or whatever you did
