Default 2010 price quote good or bad?

I posted a while back on a quote I recieved on a 2009 XLT Screw, but now want to pull the trigger on a 2010. what do you think of the dealers offer?
2010 Tuxedo Black S'crew, 4 by 4, XLT
preferred equipment package, and xlt convenience package

MSRP: $36, 740
dealer quote: $30, 740 plus $499 dealer fee, no taxes in state of New Hampshire

What do you guys think of my chances of getting around 28, out the door or less?
Thanks very much for the input

I just bought 1 2 weeks ago. $38,500, I got it for 31,500, plus probably $400 in fees. Those fees are a rip off. I had trouble finding a deal I could live with. Mine is the Super cab nicely equiped.

WVBIKE,
How much negotiating did you do with the dealer? Did you go back many times?

I think your chances are very good. I have always found that just taking it slow always works out in your favor. If you spend a couple weeks and go to several dealers you should be able to get your price. Just let them know what you want and what you what to spend. Give them your number and one will work with you.

Thanks for the input.
Is there anyone who thinks my number is out of reach?
I just want to make sure I am being realistic

I just bought my 2010 Screw last week. Dealer came down to around 33k, which he claimed was about 500 over his invoice (sticker price was 38k). You might get away with 28k. Good luck.

thanks Dave,
I see you are from CT. Do you mind if I ask what dealership you worked with?

I know your asking in regards to a 2010. Juts as a point of reference I just paid $27,251 OTD in WA state for my 2009 F150 XLT supercrew, with the remote starter option and 6 year maintenance agreement.

I purchased my truck from Columbia Ford on Route 6 in Columbia. They have been great to work with, and I highly recommend them.

I had turned them down on a deal the day before, I was going from dealer to dealer with a list of options I wanted and was going to order a truck with who ever would give the best deal. I guess they knew I was going to buy a truck somewhere and they wanted to sell so they gave me a price I could live with. Considering all the options I think I got a decent deal.
