2010 lousy mpg

2010 lousy mpg
I've a 2010 with a 5.4l and a limited-slip differental, all stock tires, no options with 63,000 miles and I get crap mileage. We typcally drive, when on the hwy, between 60-65 mph. It averages about 14 mpg! I keep the oil changed regular, change the air filter more often than recommended and keep the tires inflated properly. Is this standard and if so, what can we do to improve it? We usually put in regular unleaded but when we put in premium, I dont see a big enough difference to justify the cost. I've used injector cleaner but that doesnt seem to help much.
Thanks

Mine has tinny 235/75r17s. I'm going bigger as soon as I need tires. Best I ever did on highway was 16.8 from Detroit too mid Ohio. I just did plugs so hopefully it helps. It's Summer so will be on bike most of time though.

I average 19 mpg consistently, 2010 4.6 3V 4x4 XL standard cab, 106,000 miles, and I wouldn't say that I drive like a grandpa at all. My commute is 40 miles one way, mixed 2 and 4 lane highway and a half dozen or so red lights/stop signs.

2010 Reg Cab, short box, tow, 5.4, factory tires. Guys believe me or not, mine gets CRAP mileage city and highway combined BUT on trips from NW Ohio to the U.P. of Michigan pulling nothing and running 80 plus miles an hour in cruise control (yes 80 plus MPH) the on-board computer tells me I'm getting 16 MPG! I make this very same trip in late May and late Sept every year. I use to haul my 30' RV that same trip and got 10 to 12 MPG in "Tow/Haul" mode NOT using cruise and running 70 plus miles per hour. I now store the RV in the U.P. and pick it up 30 miles from the campsite.
The ONLY thing I have done to the engine was, I made my own cold air intake. I bought the truck mainly to haul the RV... It only has 20k on the clock. It sits in garage most of the time. Has never been in salt either.

Going 60ish I get about 15.8 in my 2010 5.4 long bed King Ranch. Was kind of disappointed because he was getting about 18 in his 2006 5.4 short bed King ranch. I have 95k on mine. Thinking about doing plugs soon and hoping I pick some mpg's after that.

Make sure to calculate by hand, or by app.
I use Chevron fuel additive at every oil change, I've only had the 2011 a short while, but put one in first thing and got nearly 17mpg and now average about 16mpg. Regular gas, 5.0, lots of 45mph + driving, stock.

Have the same truck, if I go 55mph and drive for fuel economy (not necessarily slow) I can get 20mpg. 60 mph ill get 18-19, 65-75 ill get 15-16.
In town lots of stop and go its 12-15mpg. Mixed is obviously a combo of the 2.
I run 42 psi in my tires
