From sniffing around, the Ranch Hand FER looks to run about $950-1,000 plus installation.

Next step for me is a leveling kit and new tires. You got sweet looking truck though. Here is a couple pics of mine....
Nice! How many inches does that add to the front of your bumper? It looks to be about 8-10 inches.

Yeah, from the pics it looks to be that much, but its really probably about 6 inches or so. Regardless if you put on Frontier, Ranch Hand, Cattleman, or any other full front replacement, they are all beastly and stick out a little further than your normal grill guard. I think they look just as good on a 1/2 ton truck as they do 3/4 and 1 trucks, even though there is not as many runnin around. My original idea included a 6" lift on 35's, but after hearing all the horror stories about lift kits, i decided to settle on leveling kit and 33's. I need to get more of this truck paid off before putting a lift kit on it haha.

I agree. No shame in having a FER on a 1/2 ton, especially when heading to the ranch/lease on a regular basis. I think the leveling kit is sufficient, without the lift.

I think with a 6.5' bed and a FER, you can make the 1/2 ton look 95% like the SuperDuty. But you have a smaller engine (if you go 5.0 or EB) so you get better mileage.

That's my thought at least.

Yeah, I currently just have the leveling kit up front, and 32"s (305/50 R20 Nitto Terragrapplers). It is plenty of room. Correct that the front end sticks out an additional 6" from the original. Also, PASS, here is the link to the part (http://www.ranchhand.com/product.php?id=1583), but the part number is (FSF09HBL1).

I do want to lift mine a bit more, but I am not ready for the expense of a full on suspension replacement/upgrade. Maybe an add-a-leaf or something in the rear... and a strut swap up front or something (like the Bilsteins or the Rancho Quick Lift)?

Either way, my next tire will likely be a 33" or so, but I like the way the truck looks and rides.

The very next mod I do is the rear bumper to match the front, and get the additional lights that are included in the rear bumper.

Thanks! Looks like they just need to change the picture... Part#FSF09HBL1 for the 2012 trucks shows the same pic as well... Looks like there is no hole for the intercooler, but you clearly have a gap on yours. Hopefully they can move the license plate bracket. I'll be looking into it.

I plan on putting the rear bumper painted to match on mine as well. I just recently met a guy who has the same Frontier Front end as well as rear replacement bumper and it looked really good. I like the extra lights on them too. The only problem that that he mentioned was that his sensors would sometimes come loose and fall out of the rear bumper. Either way, it will look good. Post pics when you get it done.
