Can you post up a link to that thread?

With the time and money it would take to complete this mod it would be WAY easier and probably cheaper to just trade your current truck in and buy a 11' and up F150. All for a gauge that basically does nothing but tell you the temp of your transmission, the angle your truck is at (novelty wore off within a month), and the mileage, which trucks pre 11' had anyways. Just not as fancy.
In my option, this is a pipe dream and a big waste of time if anyone attempts it. Go out, by an SCT Livewire and use that as a gauge. Save yourself the headache of ripping your dash apart.

You keep posting the exact same thing in this thread. Obviously your point has been gotten across, but some people are still interested in trying it.

I for one have a '12 STX (no center LCD data screen).
But I bought a gauge cluster from a '12 Harley edition on ebay before looking up how difficult the swap would be. Now I have to figure out what to do with it.

Just curious but what did you happen to pay for it?

it was a couple years ago, but I think 300. maybe 250 plus shipping?

I'v been debating taking it apart and moving the electronics from my current IC over to it. that way I get the look without the hassle.

'09-'10 clusters are not compatible with '11 and up clusters and vice versa.
