Gonna necro this post to see if anyone has attempted this. I doubt it though since it might make more sense to trade in on a new one (wont happen for me at least till this one is paid off and my supreme allied house commander has already made it clear she picks the next vehicle).

I've wondered about this too, my 2010 is a salvage so I cant trade it in anyway. I really think that it would turn on, and you could probably put in mileage, but not be able to use most of the features, anyway, someday I might try this....

2009-2010 Instrument Cluster Mod to 2011+ with Productivity Screen? Is this feasible?
Did anybody finally attempted this swap and have it worked?
Here is a brief resume of what was said about it AND what I understand:
2009-2010 dash LCD screen swap to 2011+ with Productivity Screen;
What is requested:

2009-2010 dash LCD screen swap to 2011+ with Productivity Screen;
What is requested:
- New 2011+ cluster with productivity screen
- New Steering wheel with navigation tab (may only need to purchase the 2011+ left switch module on steering?)
- 2011+ Clock spring
- New 2011+ Gauge cluster
- New 2011+ BCM
- New 2011+ Dash module (which part #?)
- Some new wiring?
- Have dealer to Back-up old IC AND Reprogram new 2011+ PCM IC to make this new Productivity Screen to work with the existing network.

Seriously lol. Sell your truck and find a 2011+...it will be 100 times easier and probably cheaper. Or go buy an SCT Livewire and have more options to look at.

I agree with you..
After reading those 70 more posts I made this resume to understand what really we were dealing with.
And not having any update since a few months, I just wanted to know if somebody did get through!

Oh sorry lol.
Yeah it's been tried a few times and every time is hasn't worked.
To be honest tho, you aren't missing much. That little screen doesn't do as much as it should be able to.

I was curious to know what equipment was involved in this option...
For a friend truck who recently purchased a 2010 Raptor with this bare LED dash. It would have add a nice feature in his truck and been an interesting project if it was feasible...
I have installed last summer with him an OEM NAV screen in my FX4. This was a challenging project with many wires rerouting but it did work!
At this time, I am upgrading with the Raptor E-locker diff override on my FX4!

It can be done, anything can be done with time and money. If you head on over to the mustang source you'll find a thread where we did this to our mustangs. I swapped in the 13 mustang cluster with the LCD into my 2011 gt/cs. You'll probably find most of the information you need there

The gauges etc would work but the info screen in the middle wouldn't work unless you took the module out of the 11' as well. But then you would somehow have to flash the module to accept info from the 10' ECU and other body sensors to get all the screen to work.
In other words you could physically swap the gauges and be fine but to retain all the useful info from the 11' dash would be a challenge
