If you want an aftermarket intake, a different MAF is not needed. The stock MAF can handle any slight increase in flow that it may make. Unless you're going forced induction the MAF can handle it. The problem with an aftermarket intake is while the MAF can handle the flow, it cannot account for its different placement. A programmer can account for the difference and prevent lean conditions. Be sure to find the filtration efficiencies of the different systems you are looking at. Stock filtration is over 99.5%. The farther less you go from this efficiency, the more gets into the engine.

A custom email tune from a professional like Bill at PHP or Mike at 5star is usually in the $60 per tune range.

4.10 is referring to the gear ratio.

Unless you consider the stock intake to be "cheaply" made, the Gotts isn't a "cheap" quality mod. Look at the link below for a little dyno information on the mod. Look into SCT programming devices such as the X3 for the best tuning ability for the 09+ trucks.

i've been doing tons of research and it seems everyone has good and bad things to say about everything and i just want to make sure i get something that is going to actually give me improvements. i know some things about vehicles but not enough to be able to tell on my own what is the best.
