Default 2010 fx4 mirror puddle light issue

My truck wasnt stock with this option

There are no hookups for the puddle lights in mirror but does have the hole for them.

Where do i hook up the wires or do i need to run new wires
If i need new wires where do i runn them to or from

I was as stumped as you

A year ago I installed some footwell(?) lights. I powered them with a wire run all the way from the bed/cargo light (rather than splicing into the harness who-knows-where/color), since my dome light would be impossible to get to.

As much as I'd like for the mirror to be taken off without having to cut the wire for the puddle Light..I just spliced into those footwell lights on both sides(which are tapped into the bed/cargo lights). I know that doesn't really help you a ton, but it worked well for me. And you could technically run a wire from the cargo light down to each mirror and use a quick connector. I was out of quick connectors but can always add then later if I wish.

btw, no lights are on anywhere near my truck
