Default 2010 FX4 2WD Locker with Raptor Parts?

I know there is a post on this but there are a lot of pages and I am just wondering if someone involved with it could quickly answer my questions...

If I buy the raptor TCM and 4WD switch from a 2010 is it a complete plug and play to get the locker to work in 2WD?

If so, about how much does it cost?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, plug and play. I also have 2010 fx4. Did the mod a few months ago-works awesome. Got parts through Tasca Ford online. Think it was somewhere between $160-170 total.

What is the benefit of doing it this way as opposed to just pulling the locker switch out on my fx4?

In 2010, there was no factory option to lock rear without going in 4 hi or low first. I believe the 2012 and up with rear locker is stock with pullout **** in 2wd.

Yes. Don't even need to disconnect battery. A little tip...... The tccm is in a very tight spot and I was able to get it out, but a few guys in here were leaving old one bolted in(disconnecting harnesses) and using 3m double stick to put new on top of old. If you take the time and cuss at it you will be able to get old one out. My 2 cents.

Sounds good. Thank you for all your help. This sounds like a good Christmas present from my wife.
