Hello all I just bought a 2010 fx4 screw and it's has 141000 miles on it. It runs and drives great just like new. However I know that maintenance will keep it going strong.. so with that in mind I need advice on what needs to be checked. Replaced and so on. I have time so I will do one project at a time and I'm a big do it yourself kind of guy. I've had the truck for two weeks now and absolutely love it.. I've owned cars all my life and now that I have a truck I don't think I can go back to cars.. I do however own a 2006 mustang gt that's I play with and tinker with. Any advice would be appreciated. .

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the truck. If the owners manual came with the truck that would be your best resource. It will tell the maintenance schedule of all the fluids. If not you can use www.owner.ford.com to see a copy of the manual. If it's running fine I would say the fluids would be the major items to be checked. Of course an oil/filter change if you haven't done that yet. I hope the truck serves you well.

change all the fluids, sparkplugs, belts, hoses, clean maf and tb. check the brakes and drive that bitch.

I love my 2010 fx4 too. Great trucks, you have a few more miles on yours then mine. I am not even at 24k yet. Keep having people offer to buy it. Don't think I could let her go as I could only go to a Raptor or a 6.2 FX4.

Thanks for the replies. Going to clean tb next and belts and hoses. Spark plugs scare me due to the post of them breaking. I've read post after post so I'll do that later after my garage is finished

Spark plug issue was on pre 09 trucks.

Gear oil change. Transmission fluid change (not flush). Coolant change (not flush). Also front diff fluid change.
