Default 2010 f150 xlt painted to fx4 grill and bumper

Yesterday decided to paint my chrome xlt grill and bumper just like the fx4 grill and bumper and think I did fairly well

Looks awesome! I want to do the something to my xlt What did you use as far as paint and how did you prep bumpers?

Well I just washed it and put primer on it then used the duplicolor perfect match paint and clear coat to make it shine but you can sand it then prime it if you want but I'm gonna see how it holds up first

Right on, ya I wasn't sure if it would stick to chrome without sanding or not. I considered plasti dipping mine but I know it will have to be redone every so often

They make the black chrome paint that paints right over the chrome

Hey new to the forum but ran across this. As many may already know, you can get a great result with this using plastidip. It removes easily if you want to go back to original. Also touches up easy. No sanding required.
