What's an affordable set of bulbs that throw a white color over the factory bulbs? I want to replace the bulbs only and see lots of vehicles on the road with these cool looking white head lights, I'm looking for something under $50.

you're probably talking about bulbs that advertise a light output in the 6000k range. that's usually the white with a hint of blue most people see as bright white. You could also go close to 4000k, which would be closer to white with a hint of yellow.

Keep in mind most of these aftermarket bulbs will last less than a year, but it is what it is.
