Did it on my 2010.

1) Sit in the truck, close the door, lock then unlock the doors with the button on the door panel.
2) Turn a working key on and off 8 times pretty quickly. Doors will lock then unlock if done correctly
3) Press any button on ALL the fobs to reprogram them

The reason I went for the flip key at the time was because I was told by Ford that the 2011+ ignition system was different and the PATS system used a different security feature that was not backwards compatible. I was told the new keys would turn the ignition, but won't start the car because the remote won't sync with the PATS.

Hopefully someone here has some extra money to try? Hint hint!!!

I programmed the remote, cut the keys, and found the inst for the rfid chip inside the key head online. All u do is (if and only if u have two original keys) put original key 1 in, turn ignition to run/accessory for 1 sec, then turn off. Take 1 out and insert two for 1sec, take out, insert NEW key, turn to run for 1 sec, turn off, and theft light should blink 3 times signalling a successful programming. Repeat steps for additional keys. I now have 4 working all in one key/remotes. Yes the newer style all in one key remotes (such as on the 2012 models) work on the 2010!

Yeah I'm the original poster I bought them from remote@traderbayz.com (u can Google that;it's their email) on eBay. Two 2011+ all in one key remotes were $30 with free shipping and took a total of about and hour to put in use after programming the remote portion, programming the key, and having them cut. Dealership charges about $160 give or take for two keys; maybe more. Yes the newer remotes work on 2010s.

Thanks.
