Is there a way to turn down the brightness level on the Nav system? Those pictures look great! In my Maxima, the Nav system is VERY bright. It could be turned down (only two levels - burn your eyes or can't see) but then it would just get stuck on that level you put it on. A terrible system! The one in the Platinum is one of the best I have read about but I would hope that it can dim down when you have all those nice color options.

The Nav system can be dimmed in the Platinum.

Just to add to MarkY's reply, there are about 10 levels of display brightness in addition to 10 levels of contrast control on the Nav/SYNC display. In my photos, I had the brightness set at 8 or 9 (out of 10) and the contrast was set at 6. I set the brightness on a sunny Texas day with the moon roof open. 6 or 7 would be a better all around brightness. It also automatically (or manually) changes from Day to Night settings.
You have to bore down through 2 or 3 layers of menu selections to get to these adjustments. If you have trouble working a cell phone, you might want to hire a computer consultant to set it up for you.

Makes me wonder if they have voice control for dimming the instrument panel lights.

Ambient Light control location
I got an "off-web" question about the ambient lights.
Where is the on off switch located? Is the LED light in the cupholder roughly at the 7 o'clock position?
The questions are with respect to installing ambient lights on an '09 Platinum.
The Color Selector switch is also an "OFF" switch. (One of the "colors" is OFF.)
The LED lighting on the cupholders is a backlit translucent plastic trim in a dog bone shape. I'm not sure how that relates to the 7 o'clock in the inquiry.
The photo below should help clarify things.

I have a 2010 Platinum with the L.E.D kit from the factory.
Does anyone know where to get more of the lights to add to this feature. I would like to put more lights in select places inside my truck. But I want to use the stock lights so i can keep the color selections the same
