Default 2010 F-150 How to Fold non Powered Mirrors?

Hello;

New to the F-150 world, picked up a 2010 XLT Crew Cab so I'd have a 2nd vehicle and one with more utility usability than my other vehicle.

I would like to be able to fold the mirrors in. I'm pretty darn sure I don't have power mirrors, and if I do, they don't work. I've tried to fold the mirrors in manually... they won't budge, the truck moves in the direction i'm pushing....

These are the non-Tow mirrors.... does anyone know how to fold them? It's not even in the manual.

Thanks
Andrew

You should just be able to grab them and fold them in. Unless they are just stuck from never being folded in.

If they would be Power fold, you would just pull back on the mirror adjustment ****.

Power fold also fold manually. I just wouldn't do it WHILE using the power fold function.

Yes, I agree. My mirrors were folded on my Lariat. My father in law and I were getting in it to go somewhere and he (trying to help) grabbed it and manually unfolded it. No harm though, folded it back and it has worked fine since.

I didn't mean that as luck or a discovery of mine, it's how they are designed.

Thanks all, had a good laugh at the garage story.

So I went out, and shoved really hard on the passenger side mirror, it folded!

YAY!

Kinda.... looks like the guts that hold all that together aren't great.... and it's lifted a bit (won't go back down), so now it's... a bit loose.... not probably ok, black tape fixable

Anyone know how to take apart one of these things? Can it be done without pulling it off the door?

I'm leaving the drivers side alone for now.....

Thanks
Andrew

What's really going to blow your mind is they also fold forward.
