2010 F-150 grille choices
I bought a new F-150 Platinum a week ago. I wasn't impressed with the grille design.
I would like a grille that looks like the F-150 Harley Davidson edition like the photo from the Ford brochure below.
And to make things more difficult, I want a black color grille like the new grille on "a5litermustang". (linked to his thread on wrecked truck)
I've searched the web for such a grille and come up empty. Does anyone know where I can get a F-150 black Harley Davidson grille that would fit on my 2010 Platinum?

I didn't hear nobody honkin' at my door!
I'm deaf in one ear and can't hear with the other.
That sometimes happens when you ride Harley's for long periods of time.
By the way, this here photo is my Harley Davidson "edition".
I need to get a F-150 emblem for it.

The fx2 looks like a billet grille. I'm really looking for an H-D grille in black.
I wonder if it is possible to buy an H-D grille, remove the chrome and powder coat it black?

anything is possible with the right amount of money, and i dont think the fx2 looks like a billet. its not chrome is black plastic like the fx4 but it has the xlt chrome package look. which is very similar the harley. but good luck and tell us how it comes out.

You could just buy the Harley grille with a Tuxedo Black outer shell, which would look pretty bad***** as is, or you can get an FX2/4 grille and add this.

That is awesome. I never thought a billet grille was in my future, but this could be the one.
I'm trying to imagine this grille on my Platinum that I took for a 140 mile day trip into the Sam Houston National Forest.
Today's photo looks like a "city slicker" that got lost in the woods. Not cool! Gott'a be cool!
This is where I "chickened out". I don't think my tires were agressive enough nor my clearance high enough to clear this frozen puddle in the logging trail.
I was going solo and if I bogged down, there was nobody to pull me out. And there was no cell phone coverage to call for help. I put it in reverse and backed up for 1/2 mile.
If I had the black billet grille, that might have given me the courage to blast through that mud hole.
I'm gonna check it out. Maybe the imaginary black Harley grille is history.
