Hey guys, on here for a friend. He has a 2010 with 5.4, he's been complaining about a ticking noise from the engine. He tried changing oil and crank position sensor. Left for a bit but came back. I know my 97 4.6 does this as well. I just thought it was some engine function that's completely normal. Any insight? Thanks!

That noise could end up being catastrophic for his truck. Just do a quick search for cam phaser lockout.
