2010 4.6 3v stalled after stopping today...
I thought I've heard about this happening before, but I've never had it happen to me until today. I drove down the road to grab some lunch on my break at work, and after stopping at a red light waiting for it to turn green, the truck just stalled out, the oil dummy light came on, and the chime dinged at me a few times I put it in park and it started right back up no problem.
Anybody ever figure out what the root cause of this was?
It's only the first time it's ever done it to me, but hopefully it's the last. If it starts making a habit of it, it'll be seeing the dealer...

Hmmm, I'll have to look at that. Ironnically, I was messing with the air filter box last weekend; checked the air filter when I changed the oil. So maybe I jarred something the wrong way. I'll take a look at it this afternoon. Thanks!

Man I hope that is all that is wrong with mine. I was taking it to get a bed liner sprayed in and a tonneau cover put on when it was doing that to me too. It had done it a few days ago and I thought it could be the fuel sending unit. I will unplug the sensor and plug it back in later today when I pick up the truck and see if that fixes it. I also heard that cleaning the throttle body with some cleaner could be a fix. I will try your idea first and then the throttle body butterfly valve. I really don't want to have to get under my truck to drop the tank. Thanks for your help.
I think there should be an investigation into it by Ford because I am noticing a lot of the 2009 + F150s beginning to have this problem where the truck sputters and shuts off when coming to a stop. I just hit 50000 miles so the fuel system is out of warranty.
