I wouldn't want them taking my whole truck apart to swap a frame. For a simple thing like that that a good weld job would repair. I had a front clip replaced once, 13 month old truck, by dealer, when I went to install my lift 5 months later I found that they rerouted the entire wiring harness on the wrong side of some of the inner fender supports. Varified this by parking it beside my identical work truck and loosening both inner fender liners. Basically, it was pulled darn snug and would have mmmmmost likely worn through or caused problems eventually. Took me four hours to correct it.
5-15-20 mph on jmoore's ride, either way, parking lot speed. Must have caught it jusssst right.

I was in a small parking lot just turning around, I hit the bottom of a cement light pole just right where it tore the front rim in half by sending into the frame which in turn bent it. Had to replace the whole front end as well as the front quarter panel. I've never been in accident before and nearly **** myself when I saw the final bill to State Farm. I went back to the scene and you can barley tell there are poles in the parking lot looking at it from the front entrance as the poles are very thin and the concrete matches the ground, they should have been painted yellow. The cop told me i was at least the 30 accident there.

Believe me, I wanted my truck totaled when I found out the frame was bent but they wouldn't do it as the truck was a couple of months old.

I seriously mean no offence, but your description of what happened makes it even more unbelievable. 5mph tore your wheel in half? And bent your frame beyond repair? Maybe if you were going 10 times that speed.

Believe what you want. I have a 6 inch lift. If I was going any faster I would have taken down the light pole and also have gotten a ticket.

We'll
Call it 10mph, how's that?

Driving home from work last week, here a awful banging and rattling, pull in to the nearest parking lot, look under the truck and see that the u-joint (2 peice drive shaft) has gone for s&^%. I take a closer look and see that the hanger has torn the weld off right off the frame...

Have you heard back from your dealer, drbray? Please send the current odometer reading; I’ll look into it.
