I just checked mine and it is ok. Did notice that a lot of the fuses could be pushed in a fuzz further. Don't know if that would matter much.

What will prevent it from happening there also?

Once the kit is installed, there is no fuse in spot 27, it is moved to a larger fuse in a different spot in the fuse block

Thanks I had not looked at any instructions and did not realize that that that's what the kit does!

You miss understand. I guess I wasn't clear how I said it. What I meant was, ending badly as in an accident. When it died on me, I was sitting at a stop sign, waiting to pull onto a two lane road, waiting for traffic to pass. I had just given it some gas to pull out into traffic. I had only traveled 5 feet when it died. The truck was heading across both lanes and barely had enough momentum to get across the road while fighting to steer it onto the shoulder. I waited for all but the last car to go by because it was still aways off. If that guy driving wasn't alert I may of been hit. I thought I had plenty of room to pull out and gain speed.... until it died......Since there was only a TSB, not a recall, and I caused the accident as a result of the truck dieing from this known problem, could there of been a recourse?

Absolutely, and there are attorneys on this website frothing at the mouth to have a scenario like this! My opinion, and I am not an attorney, after a valiant fight by ford, they would need to do a recall and pay damages out the wazoo!

Be sure and report this to the national safety folks, I am!

Larger in physical size, but mainly large connector/contact/socket size. It's still a 20 amp fuse.

Problem is that current rating does not exceed 20a fuse, but "fuse socket contacts" and connection.

New location handles current better.

Just went to the NHTSA site and filled out a compliant. If it had just happened in my driveway, probably wouldn't of taken the time to do it. But, because of how it happened to me at a highway intersection, someone else may not be as lucky as I was.

I have just filed a complaint on the NHSTA Website. Every complaint helps to get to a recall.

Just filed mine also.
