Well it didn't take long for my faith in Ford products to be tested.
3 weeks and 2000kms to be exact.
Got up to go to work,jump in the truck.....and nothing but some clicking.
Managed to barely get a ride to work,got back from work and called road side assistance thinking oh maybe the battery was drained somehow and just needed a boost.
Nope....
Even with a boost truck does not turn over and starter system fault flashes...
Dealership says bring it in so on the flatbed it goes.....love seeing my new 50k truck on the back of a flatbed
Makes me feel proud about ownin a Ford again!
All of a sudden my 07 Chevy is lookin pretty good!

It happens, Ford makes TONS of these trucks, sometimes they have problems, it's under warranty, so i wouldn't sweat it too much. Stuff breaks on all trucks, Ford, Chevy, Dodge, nothing is perfect, and there's alot of room for error since they make so many trucks. Maybe i can't relate because i only payed 18k for my truck, not 50k

 

I have killed more Chevys than I can count... Rear end blow out, trans stops going into gear or losing a gear all together, pulling what's left of the crank and rod out of the huge hole in the side of my block.... Same goes for dodge and every brand of big rig on the road.... Hell I lost my clutch in my Peterbilt pulling 79,450lbs. Up donner pass and it had less than 5k on the clock. I guess where Im going with this is, stuff breaks... Be thankful it was at your house and not a 7% grade in the middle of winter loaded to damn near gross... And it's under warranty and you had road side assistance.... Just my .02

 

And just to put it in perspective your truck was 50k and under warranty... My Peterbilt was 200k and the clutch was not under warranty....

 

Yea, just because it's "new" doesn't mean it can't break soon after getting it.

My unit received 8 newly rebuilt M1A1's (real "new" M1's haven't been built since 1996) at the cost of 1 million USD each (everything is disassembled and the bare hull and turret is blasted to remove all paint and rust, then all new or fully refurbished components are reinstalled), but right off the railcars, we discovered that there was improperly installed race ring components that deadlined all of them.

They were still "under warranty" so General Dynamics eventually sent out a team to replace all the incorrect components... about a month later. I was under the impression that each and every tank that comes off the assembly line is tested, but apparently, that's patently false.

Luckily this happened stateside and not over in Iraq, where if THAT happened, we would have been in a whole world of hurt

Window sticker was $53600.....
Paid a lot less....
Only reason I had a Chev was the 3 F150s before that blew plugs,trannies and rear ends ....hoping this is an isolated thing!

 

I love how we all stick up for our brand! Got to take the bad with the good... I love my Ford truck!
