they did not scratch mine... if you explain your concern, I'm sure they would go the extra mile to be careful

I must be lucky ... I have the gunmetal gray FX wheels, and I can only assume the finish on those is not as delicate as the black ones. Regardless, the mechanic/tire shop guy I use is as good as they come, not just in work but in his business practice.
He rotates my tires and my wife's for free, including re-balancing of them ... he also fixes any flats that are repairable for no charge. All he asks in return is that we give him whatever business we can, and refer others to him. He's the guy that did my level kit with me ... he only charged me $75 per side, even though it ended up taking us forever to do it (and we stayed really late cuz we started at the end of the day).
I have NO doubts that if anything happened to my wheels due to his or his staff's work, he'd make it right at no charge to me, and with as little hassle as possible.
It's a shame not everyone has Ben MacDonald doing their tires like he does mine. Guy is a total class act, personally and professionally.

Doesn't help you guys but....
Anyone find it ironic that the off road tough guy appearance packages f150 (the fx4) has such a fragile wheel finish? Isn't this supposed to be the most off road ready outside of a raptor?

I had 20" rockstars on my 03 duramax. The tire shop gouged the **** out of it one day while doing a flat fix. They bought me a new one but still mounted it for me.
They were a pita to deal with.

I looked on the Hunter site and didnt see a list of locations that use their equipment. Am I just not seeing it?
I'm 100% sure the place I went used Hunter equipment....they still scratched my rims. They did pay to have all 4 buffed out though.

Little different story but relates. I went to have my tires rotated at discount tire. They gave it back to me missing a lug nut. They said the stud was bent and was most likely from whomever did the level. I said BS that was over 8 months ago and there was no way they would own up to that and fix it. Discount said they just forced the lug back on.
I guess I can believe the story but still, I said you took the tire off its your problem. After talking to the manager (because the tech just wanted to send me on my way) he agreed to take care of me. Sent me over to a shop who replaced the stud on Discounts dime.
So, I am a life long customer of discount tire or, at least, the one by me. Not many businesses would do that so I am very thankful.

I just did a quick search on how not to scratch a rim..turns out it's fairly common on most all the forum's. .even discount has scratched rims with the hunter gear..what seems to work best is go to discount. .or another hunter place and get a manager before they do work..Note the existing rim conditions and have an agreement if they ding the rim..they bought it
Personally for me.. I'm going to video record the inspection and conversation each time I need a tire change

Of course, i figured out how to do they in 2001......when i was 19. How, i took my car to Roadforce balance a set of Firehawk SZ50EP tire on my car and asked questions. Then i bummed around the internet and found corroborating evidence.
